Gayla Robbins

Director of School Partnerships

A native of historic Tuskegee, AL, Gayla received her BS in Chemistry from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and her MA in Organization & Leadership from Columbia University, Teachers College in New York, NY. A former Teacher of the Year, Gayla, has a decade of experience teaching chemistry at a Title I high school where the student body represents six continents, more than 54 countries and total of 48 languages. Gayla had continuous success with facilitating growth in student achievement; increasing the student state mandated Physical Science End of Course Test (EOCT) pass rate by 300%. Gayla served on the founding team, and now as a Board Director for Resurgence Hall Charter School. Gayla is also a Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education (GPEE) Education Policy Fellow and a member of the LEAD Atlanta Class of 2018.
